Paffrath & Thomas is among one of the top realty companies residing in Summit County. This company is based in Breckenridge, CO and focuses on high-end houses and land. I was set with the task of recreating their website with simplicity and usability in mind. The site focuses on the beautiful nature and aesthetics that accompany these lovely mountain town homes.
Objective
I sat down with the clients to discuss what they were looking for in this project. Their web site was stuck in the 1990s with a glitchy search system and many faulty links. I first determined who would be using this site and what they would be striving to gain from using this site. I created a few personas of likely clients.
Research and Wireframing
After sitting down with the client to establish what had to be included in their new site, I found several potential users for the site and asked them to place headings and subheadings where they thought they they should be placed based on how they would want the site to function best for them. This gave me a very nice insight as to how the potential users were trying to navigate the site and how they were trying to get to certain areas.
